Neopuntia-Derived from the opuntia ficus indica cactus plant, Neopuntia is used by myriad independent companies who claim that it helps aid with weight loss. It has been shown be an effective fat binder.
Hoodia Gordonii- Hoodia Gordonii is the latest fad ingredient for diet pills. Supporters of Hoodia claim that it was used as an appetite suppressant by the South African natives for hundreds of years. Some credible sources, however, say that it was actually used for indigestion. To date I have yet to find one single clinical study that supports hoodia gordonii’s claim to aid in weight loss. Not one!
The fad will pass
