Calotren is simply a basic collagen supplement made by Top of the World Distributors (TOTWD). Right from the get-go the manufacturer makes several misleading claims. While it’s true that the “collagen protein supports the lean muscle tissue” that is only true in regards to the collagen your body naturally produces. There is no scientific proof whatsoever that taking a collagen supplement will increase your lean muscle mass, so the statement that “Calotren® is actually assisting your body with its natural burning of fats and sugars by building the lean muscle tissue” is misleading at best.

Questionable Ingredients
It’s worth noting that there is NOT A SINGLE INGREDIENT in either of these formulas that is known to promote weight loss. Perhaps they hope that by including a laxative (Aloe Vera) and a strict instruction to not eat anything three hours before taking the pill will do the trick. Laxatives and food restriction seems to be their real plan for helping you lose weight! But even if that unhealthy route is something you’re interested in then buying laxatives and starving yourself on your own is definitely going to be the cheaper alternative to purchasing Calotren.

$69.95 is a ridiculous price for such a product.

No Money-back Guarantee

When it comes to Calotren’s “guarantee” you have to wonder if they named their company “Top of the World” because that’s where they have to hide out (at the North Pole?) when customers try to get their money back when they find the product doesn’t work. On their official site there is no indication that they offer a money-back guarantee, which is never a good sign. Not having an upfront money-back guarantee is often a tell-tale sign that a company does not want to deal with the huge number of unsatisfied customers that were disappointed in the products results. Again, you’ll want to keep in mind that none of the ingredients in Calotren are known to promote weight loss. There are no scientific studies available to support the manufacturer’s claims whatsoever. If the product worked, don’t you think there would be at least one study to back up their claims?

Sneaky Marketing

Additionally, the manufacturer tells you that “We recommend that everyone start with the 90-day program…The collagen must have time to work at supporting the lean muscle tissue before the changes in your body are noticed.”

So they basically admit that you probably won’t notice anything in the first 90 days of taking the product, which isn’t surprising since they are selling a product with no known weight loss promoting properties. This is a commonly used marketing tactic in the diet pill industry since after 90 days your chances of getting a refund are 0%, while your chances of wanting one will likely be closer to 100%!

Calotren includes ineffective ingredients, doesn’t disclose the amounts of those ingredients, and has no guarantee. Thumbs down for Calotren.
