CortiSlim was designed to decrease one’s stress level by decreasing the amount of cortisol in the body. They were banking on the idea that if you are less stressed, you lose weight more easily.
Two questions arise: (1) Does CortiSlim actually reduce one’s stress? and (2) Does less stress directly correlate with a loss in weight? Answers: No and no. CortiSlim made some pretty impressive claims about its product. So impressive, in fact, that the FTC looked into it, decided that they were fraudulent, and filed some heavy hitting complaints against the company (Window Rock Enterprises). In 2007, the FTC fined Window Rock $1.2 million for making unsupported claims and advertisements.
CortiSlim Marketing
CortiSlim’s marketing and every other aspect of its business is clearly not what you would deem as respectable. Obviously any company that makes false claims and lies to its consumers doesn’t deserve any of our attention, except that necessary to warn others. So here’s your warning: Run!
Conclusion
A quick search on google gives you almost a whole page of links that cite CortiSlim’s innefectiveness. The fact that it is no longer available (I searched unsuccesffuly for quite a while for site to buy it from) is telling of the product and company. I’m sure the massive fine from the FTC and horrible feedback about the pill didn’t help the situation. Gladly, you probably wont be able to buy it in the future, but if it ever does rear its ugly head again, avoid it like the plague.
