Ladies and gentlemen start your engines!
Ingredients
CVS Internal Cleansing System contains three different formulas:
Liver formula (28 vegetarian capsules)
We’d love to tell you what’s in this, but when you cut through the sea of information, including a reassuring list of what it doesn’t contain (salt, wheat, gluten, dairy, etc), you find this list is conspicuously missing.
Fiber Formula (112 vegetarian capsules)
- Psyllium (Plantago Ovata) Husk reduces blood cholesterol and blood glucose response.
- Oat (Avena Sativa) Bran is believed to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, and possibly reduce the risk of heart disease.
- Guar Gum(Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba) Seed Extract made from the seeds of the guar plant and used as a thickener and stabilizer in foods and pharmaceuticals.
- Pectin (from citrus fruit) is a soluble dietary fiber shown to reduce cholesterol levels, and reduce absorption of cholesterol from bile or food.
- Marshmallow (Althaea Officinalis) Root Extract 3.5:1. used as a diuretic and digestive aid, treating constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.
Gentle Intestinal Formula (35 vegetarian tablets)
Contains two proprietary blends within this formula:
Mucilage Blend:
- Marshmallow (Althaea Officinalis) Root Extract 3.5:1. used as a diuretic and digestive aid, treating constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.
- Slippery Elm (Ulmus Rubra) Bark soothes the digestive tract.
- Fenugreek (Trigonelia Foenumgraecum) Seed Extract 4:1 warms the kidneys, disperses cold and alleviates pain.
Soothing Blend:
- Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare) relaxes the intestines and reduces bloating caused by digestive disorders. It can also calm the side effects of purgatives.
- Ginger (Zingiber Officinate)Rhizome Extract relieves suffering from gallstones and nausea.
- Peppermint (Mentha x Piperita) Leaf calms the stomach, can soothe irritable bowel syndrome, and gives relief from diarrhea.
Other ingredients contained in addition to these formulas are:
- Cellulose- dietary fiber or roughage used as a bulking agent for efficient expelling of feces.
- Magnesium Stearate- used as diluents in the manufacture of medical tablets, capsules and powders
- Silicone Dioxide adds powder flow in the formation of tablets
CVA Internal Cleansing Marketing
“Feel lighter, healthier and energized in 2-weeks!”
CVA Internal Cleansing Pricing
$19.99 for the complete system plus $5.49 standard shipping. (Faster shipping options available if you just can’t wait to cleanse!)
CVA Internal Cleansing Guarantee
For your store returns you can bring in unopened, damaged or defective items only, along with your online invoice to any CVS/Pharmacy store to get a credit of the full purchase price (it doesn’t say, but this probably doesn’t include the shipping.) So if you’ve tried it a few days and simply don’t like it, you’re out of luck. Don’t think you’ ll get your money back in hand either; a credit means they want you to re-spend your well-earned dollars in their store.
If you want to go to the hassle of returning by mail, they provide a toll-free customer service number so they can tell you by phone if you do or don’t qualify for an in-store credit.
CVA Internal Cleansing Conclusion
Here’s the thing folks-warning bells go off, and internal bars come crashing down over the brain sensors responsible for spending, when we come across a proprietary blend that doesn’t list its ingredients. No ingredients or dosage amounts for said ingredients, usually means one thing; there’s not enough good stuff in there to have any effect. To dumb it down further for you-IT WON’T WORK.
Another thing to note, CVS’s cleanse is a good price, but is less more when it comes to cleaning your engine? Make sure you buy a cleanse that contains quality ingredients and, of course, lists those ingredients.
Bottom line, cleansing is a noble cause. You wouldn’t allow your car to run over 6,000 miles without having it lubed and serviced (or you shouldn’t anyway.) So you should lube and service yourself at least once a year for optimal performance.
Happy cleansing!
