Update:

A recent report by the FDA necessitates an update for all Hydroxycut reviews. The FDA has issued a warning against all Hydroxycut-branded products due reports of liver damage being caused by the products. See the complete FDA report here for details and a list of symptoms. Apparently there have been 23 reports of serious liver damage that is linked to the consumption of Hydroxycut products. In response to the FDA’s warning, the makers of all Hydroxycut products have voluntarily recalled the products.

• Hydroxycut 24
• Hydroxycut Carb Control
• Hydroxycut Natural

While the FDA has not yet determined exactly which ingredients in the product are causing the health problems, it appears likely that Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA) may be to blame. As such, as a matter of caution, we are no longer recommending any products that contain HCA (or Garcinia Cambogia since HCA is the active ingredient in Garcinia Cambogia). When further study can clear HCA as being safe, we will again update and change our recommendations.

Yohimbine-Has been shown to be an effective aphrodisiac, but not an effective weight loss ingredient.

Don’t get distracted by “trademark” blends

A lot of companies, like the company that makes Hydroxycut Hardcore, will try to wow you with talk of propriety blends and trademarked ingredients. Don’t be fooled. Just because they may have trademarked these blends doesn’t automatically make them effective for weight loss. Besides the stimulant ingredients in this diet pill, none of these ingredients have been shown to help aid in weight loss. Like I said, you can trademark a lot of things and call them proprietary, but this means nothing if the ingredients or blends don’t work!

Hydroxycut Hardcore’s Marketing

Just like this company wants to catch your attention with its claims to proprietary blends, they also want to try to sell you on their scientific research. The problem is that if you look closely at the studies they cite, none of them are studies about Hydroxycut Hardcore. All the studies they reference have been conducted on “key elements” of Hydroxycut Hardcore, not on this diet pill itself. I would like to see this company have some actual studies that involved their product in its entirety before they try to sell us on the fact that it has been scientifically researched.

What I do like about Hydroxycut Hardcore’s marketing, however, is the testimonials. A handful of professional muscle builders have apparently agreed to endorse this diet pill and their testimonials are professional and appear to be sincere. The only problem is that the average person will not likely see these kinds of results-assuming most of us won’t commit to training like a body builder.

There isn’t a guarantee on the Hydroxycut Hardcore website. Individual retailers may have their own return policy, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Conclusion

With no solid research, few proven ingredients, and no product guarantee, there is little about Hydroxycut Hardcore that gives me confidence that this pill will do what it says it will. Sure, if you are a bodybuilder who is looking for a boost of energy and a little help getting leaner, this might work. But for the average person, I’m giving Hydroxycut Hardcore a thumbs down.
