Hydroxycut Max Review

Update:

A recent report by the FDA necessitates an update for all Hydroxycut reviews. The FDA has issued a warning against all Hydroxycut-branded products due reports of liver damage being caused by the products. See the complete FDA report here for details and a list of symptoms. Apparently there have been 23 reports of serious liver damage that is linked to the consumption of Hydroxycut products. In response to the FDA’s warning, the makers of all Hydroxycut products have voluntarily recalled the products.

• Hydroxycut 24
• Hydroxycut Carb Control
• Hydroxycut Natural

While the FDA has not yet determined exactly which ingredients in the product are causing the health problems, it appears likely that Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA) may be to blame. As such, as a matter of caution, we are no longer recommending any products that contain HCA (or Garcinia Cambogia since HCA is the active ingredient in Garcinia Cambogia). When further study can clear HCA as being safe, we will again update and change our recommendations.

A lot of ingredients doesn’t mean a diet pill is effective

Green Tea, Caffeine Anyhydrous, and other tea extracts-Common stimulants that will definitely boost your energy and may have a positive effect on your metabolism when combined with other good diet pill ingredients.

Mangosteen Extract-A good source of antioxidants, but don’t count on it to help you lose weight.

Raspberry Extract-One study done on mice suggests that raspberry keytones help burn fat, but we’d like to see more research on actual people.

The only ingredients found in Hydroxycut Max that have been proven to help boost your metabolism and burn fat are green tea and caffeine anhydrous. But these ingredients are only most effective when combined with other good diet pill ingredients. You may find that there is a lot of buzz about some of these ingredients, like mangosteen, but just because they may be good for you doesn’t translate to helping you lose weight. In fact, some of the most effective diet pills only have a few good ingredients in them. So even though this company is trying to overwhelm you with the amount of ingredients that are in their diet pill, it doesn’t mean that you have to take the bait.

Hydroxycut Max’s Marketing

Hydroxycut Max is marketed directly to women. The language of these marketers is pretty much typical of so many of the other diet pills that you have read about. One thing that is different is that these marketers want you to think that you can be their spokes model and earn up to $5,000 with an endorsement contract. This is set up as a contest that may involve a commitment to exercising for an hour and a half, four times a week; eating six small meals per day; and taking Hydroxycut Max. The good thing about this supposed contest is that anyone who exercises four times a week for a long period of time and then eats smaller meals more frequently is going to lose weight no matter what type of supplement they take. The bad news is that in reality, there aren’t a lot of people who are going to get this endorsement from Hydroxycut Max. I wouldn’t get your hopes up. But if you want to start this sort of exercise program, I say go for it! Just don’t count on the ingredients in Hydroxycut Max to help you out much.

On the Hydroxycut Max website, it says this diet pill is only available at GNC ($44.99). But with a quick Google search, I found other retailers offering this product for as low as $28.79.

No guarantee is offered for this product via the company’s website. Individual retailers could offer their own guarantees, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Conclusion

When it comes to a high quality diet pill, ingredients count. Unfortunately for Hydroxycut Max, the ingredients in this diet pill are simply not proven to be effective for helping people lose weight. And without a guarantee, I have to give Hydroxycut Max a thumbs down.
