Lipodrene Diet Pill Review
Critic's Top Pick
We're often asked if we ever rate a diet pill positively. The answer is that we do (rarely). Why don't we recommend Lipodrene? We're looking for clinically-researched ingredients, at the clinical dosage. There are a few diet pills that have chosen to take this high road, and our favorite is Apidexin. You can read our review or go to the official site.
According to their website, “Lipodrene is a product you simply MUST TRY if you are having trouble losing weight … whether your weight loss goals involve 5 lbs, 25 lbs, or even 75 lbs.!” They continue their claims by saying that “Lipodrene® is a pharmaceutical-grade weight loss formula containing a new fat burner technology proven to be 29% more effective as a Fat Burner than Redux® (a leading prescription diet drug)!”
These are some pretty heavy claims. This review of Lipodrene will look deeper into these claims to see if there if evidence to back them up. First, we’ll look at the ingredients.
Lipodrene Ingredients
- Sida cordifolia
- Citrus Aurantium
- Caffeine (100 mg)
- 5-Hydroxytryptophan (they spelled this wrong on their website)
- 5-Methoxytryptamine
- Green Tea
- Cassia nomame
- Hoodia Gordonii
- Yohimbe
- Naringen
Citrus Aurantium - The active ingredient in citrus aurantium that helps in weight loss is called synephrine. Synephrine has been shown in clinical studies to aid significantly in weight loss. But here’s the deal: synephrine is found in varying amounts (usually small) in citrus aurantium so many diet pills will include citrus aurantium and cite research about synephrine as if it was the synephrine itself. It’s highly unlikely that Lipodrene includes enough citrus aurantium to be effective.
Caffeine - While caffeine is another one of the few diet pill ingredients that has been proven to be effective, the amount of caffeine in Lipodrene isn’t up to par.
5-HTP - Is known best as a mood enhancer and has been proven to be effective in that regard. The link between mood enhancement and weight loss, however, hasn’t been proven at all.
Green Tea - A proven weight loss ingredient, green tea is highly effective.
Hoodia Gordonii - Is an absolutely worthless diet pill ingredient that has become increasingly popular as of late but has not been proven in any legitmate clinical studies to be effective in weight loss.
You’ll notice that Lipodrene does contain some solid ingredients. Why then, don’t we recommend them? Because they follow the same path that 95% of diet pill companies do. They don’t disclose how much of each ingredient is included. Their proprietary blend allows them to advertise the quality ingredient while only included miniscule amounts in the actual product.
Lipodrene’s Marketing
“ATTN Customers: Lipodrene Will No Longer Be Available! So Stock Up!!!” This flashes up at the top of the first webpage on Lipodrene’s site. First impression: hyped up and fake marketing. I’m 100% positive that if you look at this site in 20 days, it will say the exact same thing. Old trick to try to get you to hurry and buy.
They claim to have “done all the research” on their product, and yet they fail to site any of it on their website. They slapped on some doctors name to make their sales pitch appear as though it was from a medical professional, but I hope that most of you see right through that. They do avoid some hyped up tactics such as before and after photos and testimonials, so that’s a plus in our book.
Lipodrene’s Price
$39.95 per bottle. A pretty cheap price, but with their proprietary ingredient list, you’ll probably get what you pay for.
Lipodrene’s Guarantee
According to them, they are the “Only Company Online that Offers this [Risk Free Trial].” Here’s the guarantee: You can return any unopened bottles within 90 days. Sound familiar? Well if so it’s because its the same exact guarantee as alot of other diet pills. Oh, this was different though: If your order is larger than $100 than there is also a 25% restocking fee. I guess it is unique, although in a really lame way.
Conclusion
Lipodrene provides an impressive ingredient profile at first glance. But they then hide what is really in the pill with their “proprietary blend.” Their marketing is shady and their guarantee is good, but nothing to shout about (like they do). Look elsewhere for a diet pill that has proven ingredients at the right amounts. Thumbs down.
