Metabolift Review
Metabolift is a weight loss product produced by Twinlab that’s designed specifically for females. They claim that it is the “newly patented formula that’s been clinically proven to burn body fat and significantly reduce weight.” Let me remind you that just because something is patented, doesn’t necessarily mean that it (the product itself) has been tested and proven to work.
This review will take a deeper look to see if it Metabolift is all they claim that it is.
Ingredients
- Guarana (800 mg)
- Citrus Aurantium (325 mg)
- Proprietary Blend (360 mg)
- St Johns Wort
- L-Phenylalanine
- Green Tea
- Quercetin Dihydrate
- Citrus Bioflavonoid
- Ginger
- Cayenne
Guarana - Has been shown to be effective when combined with Damiana and Yerba Mate. Studies are inconclusive as to guarana’s effectiveness when taken alone.
Citrus Aurantium – Contains synephrine which has been shown to be an effective stimulant that aids in weight loss. It’s difficult to determine, however, how much synephrine is actually contained within citrus aurantium.
L-Phenylalanine - Has been shown in some studies to help with appetite suppression.
Green Tea – Is a proven weight loss ingredient that effectively increases the metabolic rate.
Both ginger and cayenne are in need of much more research to be able to suggest that they will be effective. As it stands, we don’t believe that they’ll do much for you in terms of weight loss.
While Metabolift does include a few good ingredients, most of those ingredients are hidden in a proprietary blend that doesn’t disclose their individual amounts. As such, it’s very difficult to say whether or not it will be effective. Our guess: it’s not likely.
Metabolift’s Marketing
Metabolift’s website is very weak in terms of information provided. They have almost zero info about the ingredients aside from listing a couple of them. I had to go to an outside source to find the listing. At least they avoid a lot of hyped up marketing by having next to zero information, but we still like to see more.
Metabolift’s Price
You can usually find a bottle of 60 capsules for about $18 on the internet.
Metabilift’s Guarantee
They provide no guarantee.
Conclusion
The ingredient profile looks promising, but the proprietary blend makes us weary to recomment it. The price is dirt cheap, but you’re likely getting what you pay for. The absence of a guarantee always raises red flags as well. Look elsewhere, we know you can find a better pill that will be much more effective.
