PatenTrim, a Legitimate Company Review
A question recently arose concerning PatenTrim (and other companies) about why they don’t provide a phone number. I’ve seen this particular question from time to time and thought I’d address it in regards to the diet pill industry. PatenTrim is one of these companies that provide only an email, so we’ll take them as a case example. Does this make them less credible? Are they a real company? Can you trust a company that doesn’t advertise their phone number? The fact of the matter is that most diet pill companies (as well as web businesses) simply don’t supply it. Why is that?
Why No Phone Number?
One reason is that email is simply the preferred method of contact for many businesses that operate on the web today. The internet is revolutionizing the way that we communicate with one another and the customer service sector is no exception. They can simply be more efficient by using email rather than the phone.
Another reason that some companies choose not to use much phone communication is that companies incur major costs by staffing phone receptionists to take our calls. By allowing only or mostly email communication, they can cut costs which saves the consumer money in the long run.
But Will They Really Answer My Email?
We’ve probably all had experiences where we’ve emailed a company at some info@companyabc.com email address and not received a response right? It’s a legitimate concern as this can often happen when dealing with large corporations and I’ve certainly had my fair share of unresponsive companies. In my experience, however, I’ve noticed that nearly every time that I’ve emailed a company whose sole form of communication is via email, I’ve almost always gotten a response. Email is the only contact that these companies have with their customers, and as such are usually good about responding in timely manner.
Of course there will be the occassional company that is just a fake store front and is conducting fraud. But if a company produces a real product, it’s likely that they are more concerned about their customers than you might think.
PatenTrim
Is PatenTrim a legitimate company even though they don’t provide a phone number? Yes, they are. We’ve checked them out and they actually have a pretty good response time to the emails that they receive. It’s also interesting to note that most of the shady diet pill companies that have very sketchy and dangerous marketing tactics usually do have phone numbers too appear to be more credible. So while a phone number is definitely a plus, don’t automatically assume that just because the company uses email as their main form of communication that they’re trying to scam you.
