Here we go again with more unfounded claims about the miracles of hoodia. ProShape RX completely relies on this ingredient, and if you know me, you know that I usually don’t have anything good to say about these types of diet pills. But before I completely rule it out, let’s take a closer look.

Hoodia Gordonii-Hoodia gordonii is the latest fad ingredient for diet pills. Supporters of hoodia claim that it was used as an appetite suppressant by the South African natives for hundreds of years. Some credible sources, however, say that it was actually used for indigestion. To date I have yet to find one single clinical study that supports hoodia gordonii’s claim to aid in weight loss.

Green Tea-An effective weight loss supplement that has been shown in independent studies to aid weight loss. But is it a miracle ingredient that will melt the pounds away overnight? Not at all.

When they start with Hoodia, you know it’s going to be bad

By now I hope you’ve caught on to the fact that hoodia gordonii is nothing but a worthless fad ingredient that will not help you lose weight. The only ingredient in this diet pill that has been conclusively shown to help aid in weight loss is green tea. Basically, ProShape RX is just another diet pill that is hoping to get you to jump on the hoodia bandwagon. But please, if you know what’s best for you, don’t rely on a diet pill that contains hoodia!

ProShape RX’s Marketing

First of all, most of ProShape RX’s marketing relies on the efficacy of hoodia, which has never been conclusively shown to help anyone lose weight. Second, the marketers claim that their diet pill is “doctor endorsed.” But then you go to their Medical Community page and there is a whopping one doctor who supposedly endorses ProShape RX–and they don’t even give you his full name! I don’t know about you, but I really don’t think that one random doctor should qualify a product as being doctor endorsed.

My favorite part of this website, however, is the supposed customer testimonials. They have a few testimonials typed out on the page; next to the typed portion is a teeny tiny image of the papers that these customers allegedly filled out. If you take a look closely at these images, it isn’t hard to tell that they are all the same! So basically this company just put a small picture of a form that appeared to be filled out and put it next to each fabricated testimonial to make it seem like they were legit. Nice try ProShape RX!

This diet pill company offers a 6-month guarantee, which is actually really good. I looked at the fine print and there doesn’t seem to be any return policy loopholes, so that’s one good thing about this company.

Conclusion

I hate to beat this to death, but the fact that this product is just another diet pill containing useless hoodia gives it an almost automatic thumbs down. Their pricing is OK and their return policy seems pretty solid, but none of this makes any difference if the product itself isn’t going to work.
