Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract Review
Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract looks like a great diet pill at a glance.
The site features slim and sexy models, photos of exotic fruits, and buzz words such as “start burning fat now” and newest, fastest, fat buster!”
“Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract with HCA works in many ways,” say advertisers. “Suppressing your appetite, blocking fat from being made, and increasing serotonin levels in your body are just a few exciting breakthroughs discovered about Garcinia Cambogia!”
Assuming Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract works as promised, this could be the ultimate all-natural way to slim down safely and effectively.
However, just because a product looks good doesn’t mean it’s effective. The only way to determine if a diet pill really works is to do a little research on the ingredients. . .
PureGarciniaCambogia.com does not provide an ingredient label for the product, which immediately sends up a red flag. If you don’t know what’s inside a supplement, it’s impossible to tell if it’s effective, safe, both, or neither.
Fortunately, distributors at Amazon.com were kind enough to provide an ingredient label for Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract. Even better still, each ingredient concentration was openly listed, so you know precisely what you’re getting with every serving.
Calcium (50 mg). Calcium is an essential part to bones and teeth, though it also plays a key role in the heart, nerves, and blood-clotting systems.
Studies show increased calcium intake is associated with reduced obesity risk. Researchers believe calcium averages in a significant reduction in weight when used for an extended time period.
Chromium (200 mcg). Chromium picolinate is an essential trace that supports healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels. It is believed to enhance carbohydrate and fat metabolism, resulting in reduced carbohydrate and fat cravings.
According to studies, consuming 1,000 mcg chromium picolinate resulted in significant reductions in food intake and hunger, which in turn led to a decrease in body weight. Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract only contains 200 mcg per serving, which might not be enough to provide reliable results.
Potassium (50 mg). Potassium is an essential electrolyte which regulates fluid levels and aids in muscle contraction and function. According to experts, there is a positive link between potassium-rich diets and bone health, but there is limited information connecting potassium to weight loss.
Garcinia Cambogia (1000mg). Garcinia Cambogia is naturally rich in hydroxycitric acid, or HCA. Animal studies on HCA suggest this ingredient slows glucose uptake, preventing insulin from dropping and spiking.
However, human HCA study results are fairly mixed. According to one study, women who received a 750 mg HCA extract lost an average of 2 lbs. in 12 weeks. But in another study featuring 1500 mg HA extract in both men and women, it demonstrated no positive or negative effects.
Researchers conclude, “Although HCA appears to be well tolerated, the evidence for efficacy currently is contradictory.”
Is Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract Safe to Use?
The minerals in Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract are safe to use and in concentrations small enough to keep side effects minimal.
However, I am a little concerned about the ingredient garcinia cambogia.
Hydroxycut products formerly contained hydroxycitric acid as their key ingredient, which is where the name originated. In 2009, the FDA issued a Hydroxycut recall because it received 23 reports of liver damage among users, as well as seizures and cardiovascular problems.
Since that time, manufacturers have reformulated the product line to contain completely different ingredients. But, that didn’t stop other supplements from relying on the ingredient.
As mentioned above, HCA studies are fairly mixed, and that includes safety and efficacy tests. In one study, HCA supplementation resulted in testicular atrophy in developing males. But in other human and animal studies, HCA resulted in no long-term or negative side effects.
Consequently, it’s best to approach this supplement with caution and ask your doctor before using Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract.
Manufacturers recommend taking 1 capsule twice daily 30 minutes before meals with 8 oz. glass of water. Do not take more than the recommended dosing. Increasing your dose only increases your side effect risk, not your results.
To lose weight faster, it’s best that you eat a well-balanced diet of whole foods, fruits, and vegetables and participate in frequent physical activity.
Consumer results, like the studies, are mixed. Some users experienced success while others did not.
“I have only been taking 1 pill a day instead of 2 for less than a week and I can already feel and see the difference, my pants are loose and I have great energy..cannot wait to see the results in a month.” – Maria Seludo, Amazon.com
“I was very excited to try this out after reading so many positive reviews. I have tried using it for a month and have noticed nothing. It almost seems like a sugar pill :/ I didn’t even notice any side effects. I kept taking it hoping something would happen….but…nope. Waste of money.” Disappointed, Amazon.com.
Is It Easy to Buy?
Ever since Dr. Oz recommended garcinia cambogia for weight loss, countless supplements offering the ingredient seemed to spring up overnight. Many of these products even go by the same name, it’s difficult to tell exactly which product you’re getting.
To avoid confusion, this particular product can be purchased from PureGarciniaCambogia.com (as well as Amazon.com) for the following prices:
• 1 month supply: $48
• 2 month supply: $98
• 3 month supply: $148
Free bottles are included with bulk purchases. The more you buy, the more you save.
Are There Any Auto-Ship Programs?
No. Unlike other sketchy sites that automatically sign you up for an expensive continuity program, Pure Garcinia Cambogia will not charge your credit card every month.

Is It the Best Choice?
Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract may help you lose weight, and there are plenty of customers who successfully met their goals while using this product. However, this supplement isn’t the most reliable way to slim down as many users reported no benefits at all.
The lack of solid clinical research and information about the manufacturers makes me hesitant to recommend this product. Although it might be effective, Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract might not be the best choice for your money.
