Sea-Thin, or SeaThin, claims to be the “Original Marine Thermogenic”. The ingredients contained in Sea-Thin are actually the same as those found in Fucothin. Garden of Life, the manufacturer of Fucothin, was fined by the Federal Trade Commission for making “deceptive claims” and false claims.

Sea-Thin Ingredients

Sea-Thin uses a proprietary blend of two active ingredients in each capsule. They include:

• Brown seaweed
• Pomegranate seed oil

Brown seaweed (contains 5 mg Fucoxanthin)–Fucoxanthin is a brownish pigment that gives brown seaweed its color. A couple promising mice studies have been conducted showing that high levels of Fucoxanthin helped the mice body fat. However, experts say that humans would likely have to eat huge amounts of the seaweed (much more than is found in this diet pill) daily to have any noticable effect. At this point, no studies have shown that brown seaweed is effective at promoting weight loss in humans.

Pomegranate seed oil is a natural antioxidant. Sea-thin claims it boosts brown seaweed “thermogenic properties” but there is no credible research backing up this claim.

Sea-Thin Marketing

There is no Patent Pending listed at the U.S. Patent Office website for Sea-Thin, which would seam peculiar since they claim to have a patent pending. Sea-Thin also gives misleading information about how effective their product will be, citing clinical studies involving mice. There has not been enough credible scientific research done to confirm any of Sea-Thin’s claims.

Sea-Thin Cost

Sea-Thin diet pills cost $39.95 for 90 softgels (a one-month supply). This is a lot of money for a diet pill that has no proof that it actually works. Brown seaweed is not an especially expensive ingredient, so you’re paying for a high mark-up, rather than for quality ingredients.

Sea-Thin Guarantee

The Sea-Thin website says nothing about a guarantee. This is another red flag. If a company is not willing to back up their product it is almost always because it is not worth buying.

Conclusion

There is no significant evidence that would suggest that the ingredients in Sea-Thin will contribute to weight loss. With no guarantee backing up their claims that it works, we do not recommend that you buy this product. There are other diet pills in this same price range with much more promising ingredients.
