SomnaSlim Review

SomnaSlim is a diet pill designed to be taken at night, allowing you to “Lose weight in your sleep.” The idea is definitely something that is desirable, but we have a hard time believing that it would be as effective as one that’s taken during the day (along with exercise, etc.). Although, I guess if you’re still working out during the day, it is possible. At any rate, we’ll look into the ingredient profile to see if SomnaSlim is effective in the first place.

Garcinia Cambogia – Has been shown in studies to suppress appetite and inhibit fat production.

Ingredient Update: The FDA has issued a warning against Hydroxycut-branded products for possibly causing health problems related with the liver. While the FDA has not confirmed it, some believe that the ingredient behind the problems is Hyrdoxycitric Acid, or HCA. HCA is found in Garcinia Cambogia. So until more definitive research is done, we are no longer recommending any products that contain the ingredient Hyrdoxycitric Acid. Glucomannan - Another effective appetite suppressant.

Green Tea - Is an effective diet pill ingredient that has been proven to increase the metabolic rate, hence helping you to burn more fat.

Aloe Vera – Has many health benefits, but it won’t help you to lose any fat.

Phase-2 – A patented starch neutralizer, Phase-2 has had positive results in clinical studies.

Chitosan - While it’s marketed as a “fat attractor,” the research suggests that such claims are likely false.

Gymnema Sylvestre – Some studies hint that it may help with blood sugar regulation.

5-HTP – Claimed to help to improve your mood, 5-HTP isn’t likely to do much for you in terms of weight loss (at least directly).

SomnaSlim actually has some pretty good ingredients in the mix. Again, I’m not sure whether they would work as effectively at night, or not. We do wish, however that they would disclose the amounts of the ingredients rather than have them in a proprietary blend (1200 mg).

SomnaSlim’s Marketing

We like that SomnaSlim has an apparent focus on the ingredients. They actually supply the sources of some research that has been done on the ingredients as well (something that we almost never see). They don’t use a lot of hyped up sales pitches which is also commendable. Pretty straightforward site.

They do engage in the overused marketing tactic of quoting the retail price well above what they are selling it for. Seems rather tacky and transparent to me, but hey, that’s just me.

SomnaSlim’s Price

$14.95 for a bottle. This is extremely cheap for a diet pill (although you’ll often get what you pay for).

Conclusion

The ingredient profile is relatively strong in SomnaSlim. The price is crazy low and the guarantee is awesome. If they allowed us to see how much of each ingredient is included, then we would really be able to judge its efficacy better. We’re also not sure about the night time play. For those reasons we give SomnaSlim a pretty neutral review.
