Ventilean, made by Pharmagenix, is available in liquid or pill form and claims to cause “Crazy Fast Fat Burning!” The ingredient profile appears to be similar to many other diet pills in the market, but we’ll look at that in more detail in a bit. Ventilean’s marketing is almost humurous, so we’ll be sure to point out some tidbits throughout the review as well.

This review will delve into their ingredients, marketing, price and guarantee to see if it is all that Ventilean makes it out to be.

Caffeine - Caffeine is a stimulant that has been shown to help with weight loss in clinical studies, especially when combined with exercise. Caution should be taken when supplementing with caffeine as some don’t fare well with stimulants.

Citrus Aurantium – The active and effective ingredient in citrus aurantium is synephrine. Synephrine is another effective stimulant that aids in weight loss significantly. Some believe synephrine to be a “cousin” to ephedra, but to me this seems like more of a marketing stunt than anything. While synephrine is effective, it is often difficult to determine how much synephrine is actually in citrus aurantium as it reportedly varies in amounts.

Yohimbine - Has been shown in some studies to increase fatty acid mobilization.

Kelp – Has not been shown to cause weight loss.

Vinpocetine - Believed by some to increase blood flow to the brain, vinpocetine has not yet been proven to aid in weight loss at all.

Guarana - Has been shown to aid in fat loss when combined with yerba mate and damiana (which it isn’t in Ventilean).

The other ingredients (espcially the vitamins) have been shown to be helpful and important to your overall health but are unlikely to cause you to lose much, if any, weight.

The other thing to note is that all the ingredients that are supposed to be effective are hidden in a proprietary blend, not enabling you to judge whether or not the ingredients will be effective in this particular supplement.

Ventilean’s Marketing

While they have a professional looking website, the sales copy is full of a bunch of hyped up marketing. Here’s one of our favorites: “Pharmagenx has worked incredibly hard to find a formula that turns your metabolism into an outright furnace that devours fat while giving you the level of extreme fury that would blow the head off of the average athlete looking for just average results.”

And another: “So if you’re ready to feel the wrath of the fierce fat burning effects of VentiLean, you’ll be letting everybody else know that you too have the violent intensity needed to go from an average physique to one that is suran wrapped to the bone and demands respect. But you must call Pharmagenx now at 1-888-***-**** in order to start your transformation from a boy to manpower today.” Oh please. Give me a break. I feel bad for anyone that actually buys into their “hardcore, be a man and buy our product” pitch.

In a FAQ about what makes Ventilean better than similar products they highlight two things: 1) their “rapid delivery” system [which is debatable] and 2) their “convenient, spill free and easy cap-on oral dosing syringe (for the liquid form).” If their cool little syringe is all that differentiates this product (rather than it’s ingredients) from other products, then how am I supposed to believe I’ll lose weight with this supplement as opposesed to others? If I were them I’d work on finding a new sales copy writer.

$59.99. For what you’re getting (especially considering you don’t know what you’re getting because of the proprietary blend), this price is a bit high.

Ventilean’s Guarantee

It has a 30 day guarantee. While this is better than no guarantee at all, can you really judge the effectiveness of such a product in only 30 days? We like to see at least 60-90 days on a guarantee.

Conclusion

Ventilean appears to be your average weight loss supplement. The ingredient profile is decent at best, plus they don’t disclose the amounts of the ingredients. Their marketing is full of hype and nonsense. The price is a little high and their guarantee isn’t very good. We give Ventilean a thumbs down.
