Xenadrine RFA-1 is a diet pill that claims to be “designed to help you burn more calories, ignite your metabolism and supercharge fat burning! It’s the ultimate triple-powered fat-buring experience.” One of it’s main taglines is “New. Different. Clinical Strength.” Well any diet pill can be new. But different and clinical strength are two descriptions that we would like to see in the industry. Is Xenadrine RFA-1 that much different and more powerful than other diet pills on the market? Let’s take a look.

Garcinia Cambogia – Has been shown in clinical studies to be an effective weight loss ingredient as it inhibits fat production and aids in appetite suppression.

Ingredient Update: The FDA has issued a warning against Hydroxycut-branded products for possibly causing health problems related with the liver. While the FDA has not confirmed it, some believe that the ingredient behind the problems is Hyrdoxycitric Acid, or HCA. HCA is found in Garcinia Cambogia. So until more definitive research is done, we are no longer recommending any products that contain the ingredient Hyrdoxycitric Acid. Raspberry Ketones – While the little research available is promising, there’s not enough of it to be definitive yet. The jury’s still out on Raspberry Ketone’s effectiveness in weight loss.

Ginger - It may have it’s health benefits, but helping you lose weight is not one of them.

L-Tyrosine – An amino acid that helps synthesize proteins, l-tyrosine has been shown to aid in weight loss (when used in the right amounts).

Green Tea – A proven ingredient that increases the metabolic rate.

Caffeine Anhydrous – Another proven ingredient, this stimulant increases energy and has been shown to boost your metabolism as well.

Guarana - Has only been shown to be effective at appetite suppression when used in conjuction with yerba mate and damiana.

Xenadrine RFA-1 has quite the long list of ingredients. Don’t be impressed, however, just because of the long list. Many diet pill companies do this to try to add some kind of credibility. All in all, Xenadrine has some good ingredients as well as some worthless ones. They don’t disclose the full amounts of the ingredients, which makes it quite difficult to determine its effectiveness. If I had to go out on a limb I’d say it’s a pretty good bet that you’re not going to be able to pack enough amounts of so many ingredients into a pill for it to be effective.

The website is professionally done and looks quite nice. All this says, however, is that they have a lot of marketing dollars to throw at such things. The good news though, is that I don’t see any autoship scams or anything like that.

Conclusion

The ingredient profile is decent, not great, but decent. They don’t disclose the amounts of the ingredients, which is frowned upon. The price is low, but you often get what you pay for in this industry (except for when companies try to rip you off by touting crazy high prices). There’s no guarantee which worries us. Bottom line: you can find other products on the market that provide better ingredients in clinically proven amounts (fully disclosed). Although you will likely pay a little bit more.
